Branch AGM

A reminder here that it is our Branch Annual General Meeting next Wed 10th June 6.30pm at UNITE House in Holborn. You can download the agenda for the meeting here

The speaker will be Suzanne Muna who is Branch Secretary of the Unite Housing Workers Branch www.housingworkers.org.uk and also one of our London and Eastern Regional Reps on Unite's Executive Council. Suzanne's branch has had some successful high profile campaigns in resisting employer imposed changes to terms and conditions and Suzanne will be talking about these disputes and most importantly how they have organised to achieve such great results

There will also be elections for the following positions;

• Chair
  
• Secretary
  
• Treasurer
  
• Membership Secretary
  
• Equalities Officer
  
• Branch Organiser
  

All positions are for 3 years as per UNITE rules and take effect from Sept 2015. Please consider standing. In particular we are looking for a Branch Chair and Branch Organiser. It would be good to have some new people to take on these roles, especially from the larger workplaces within the branch!
