UNITE is pleased to say that following 8 hours of discussions with WEA through ACAS the following has been agreed:
This is a major achievement and means that UNITE is able to call off the industrial action starting this Monday
UNITE members at WEA London Region have remained solid in their commitment to ensure WEA remains true to its values - equal, democratic and just.
UNITE is expecting that the WEA will follow through on what has been agreed and that the need for members to take industrial action will not recur
Many thanks to you all for the many messages of support received in different forums as well as all the offers of support for what has been a truly successful campaign
- the current proposals are withdrawn
- the at risk letters are withdrawn
- new proposals to be presented to UNITE, staff and Regional Governance, with full and meaningful consultation
